Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Elvis Mcclain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erick Rowan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rowan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mcclain, pushing him back against the cage.
Rowan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mcclain to keep the fight standing.
Rowan is looking for a takedown.
Rowan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mcclain walks away with a smile on his face. Rowan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Elvis Mcclain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erick Rowan.

Rowan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mcclain tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rowan is in Mcclain's guard.
Mcclain controls Rowan momentarily but Rowan frees himself.
Rowan slips nicely into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcclain regains full guard. Nicely done.
Rowan with a flurry of punches that miss.
Mcclain knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rowan on the ground.
Rowan wants to pass the guard but Mcclain is keeping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rowan passes into half guard.
Rowan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Rowan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rowan moves into full mount! Mcclain won't be happy about that!

Rowan is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Mcclain is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Erick Rowan!
After the fight, Erick Rowan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
