Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joey Tribbiani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alex Daze!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tribbiani throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tribbiani stuffs the takedown attempt from Daze. Daze gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Daze shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tribbiani as he avoids it easily.

Tribbiani is breathing heavily.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Daze cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The referee warns Tribbiani that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Daze fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tribbiani sprawls well initially but Daze persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Daze looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tribbiani with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Daze connects with a nice short shot to Tribbiani's temple.

Daze is nestled in close to Tribbiani, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Alex Daze is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Tribbiani knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Daze on the ground.

Well Daze has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
