Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Doug Zerps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmy Lupus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupus rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zerps moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Zerps really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Zerps decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lupus has a hand on Zerps's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Zerps takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Lupus is looking to get to half guard.
Zerps looking to take Lupus's back but Lupus rolls and after a scramble, Lupus ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Lupus to escape a tricky position.

Lupus is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lupus trying to control but Zerps is working from the bottom.
Lupus might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Zerps kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Zerps wants to stand but Lupus is controlling the position.
Zerps tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Lupus trying to control but Zerps is working from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Zerps avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Lupus swats away the attempt to clinch by Zerps.

Zerps changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lupus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Zerps is looking to take a break and control but Lupus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Zerps wants to stand but Lupus is controlling his arm.
Zerps wants to control but Lupus is keeping him busy.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Lupus is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Zerps's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Lupus manages to get to full guard.
Lupus lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Zerps!

Lupus is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Zerps is surviving well by controlling Lupus's body position as best he can.
Zerps wants to hold on but Lupus pushes him away.
Lupus can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zerps is looking to escape.
Lupus is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Zerps is desperately trying to improve his position but Lupus has a good base and remains in mount.
Zerps is in a horrible position here. Lupus smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Zerps is squirming around, avoiding Lupus's attempts to control the action.

Lupus working for a guillotine from mount but Zerps is in no mood to give up.
Zerps is breathing heavily.
Zerps stops Lupus from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Lupus tries to control but Zerps wriggling away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Zerps tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Zerps is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Zerps is trying desperately to improve position.

Lupus is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Zerps is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Zerps flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Lupus anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Zerps and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Lupus slips an arm under Zerps chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Lupus has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Lupus is squeezing on Zerps like an anaconda would it's prey. Zerps fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
