Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paulie Galtieri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Galtieri's entrance music is Woke up this morning - Alabama 3. A fine choice. Soares has chosen Black Sabbath - Iron Man as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Soares.
Galtieri shoots and misses
and Soares counters with a two punch combo.
Galtieri looks for the body kick but Soares saw that one coming.

Soares has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Galtieri is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Andre Soares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Galtieri looks to land a combination. Soares sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Galtieri thuds a left hand into Soares's body.

Soares tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Galtieri manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Soares fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Galtieri, pushing him back against the cage.

Galtieri is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Soares.
Galtieri connects with a good right hand that stumbles Soares. Soares circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Galtieri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Soares is fending him off so far but Galtieri persists. Nope, Soares circles away and we're back to standing.

Soares lunges at Galtieri with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Galtieri's hand.

Galtieri displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Soares throws out the jab.

Soares scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Galtieri is rocked!
Galtieri leaves Soares with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Galtieri swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Soares is breathing heavily.
Galtieri throws a monster overhand right that drops Soares! Galtieri follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
