Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Wahgwan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Wahgwan !
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wahgwan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rua.

Rua shoots in and bounces Wahgwan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Rua escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rua tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wahgwan throws out a counter right but Rua avoids it with no problem.

Rua is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wahgwan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rua controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Rua throws a strike but Wahgwan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Rua had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wahgwan defends it easily.
Rua is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Wahgwan wants to control from the top but Rua keeps moving.

Rua stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wahgwan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close second round but I would say that Anderson Rua will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Rua tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Rua manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Wahgwan blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Rua tries to close the distance and clinch but Wahgwan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wahgwan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rua in particular looking to stall.
Rua wants to stand but Wahgwan has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Anderson Rua showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rua, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Frank Wahgwan was interviewed post fight and said 'I accept a lose as am happy for his performance as a young talented fighter, Great work Damian u are the best brothe. But do lot of ground training if u are aiming on being a champ. Sorry to all whom support me, I promise to do best next time!!!!'.
