The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stark was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.
Stark tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Silva has closed the distance and engaged Stark in a clinch.
Silva gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Michael Stark has been cut.
Silva lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Silva lands an elbow that stopped Stark in his tracks for a moment.
Silva doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Stark can't break the clinch.
Silva lands a hook that snaps the head of Stark backwards.

Michael Stark's cut is getting worse.
Silva can't find room to land a body shot as Stark controls the action.
Stark drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Silva gets the underhooks and prevents it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva lands a vicious elbow to the side of Stark's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Silva tries to finish him with strikes but Stark still seems able to defend himself so Silva steps back and lets Stark get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.

Stark is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stark circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Silva. Stark falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Silva!
