Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petro Pspic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Micheal Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Petro Pspic!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pspic throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones tries to clinch there but Pspic circles away.
Pspic is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Pspic tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance.

Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pspic did well to prevent Jones getting side control.

Pspic manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pspic tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pspic to the ground. Pspic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pspic closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jones quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pspic decides to stand up.
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Pspic has a takedown stuffed.
Jones is looking to counter with head kicks.
Pspic displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.
Pspic circles away from the clinch attempt.
Despite the aggression on Pspic's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Pspic tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jones defends well and Pspic ends up having to push Jones into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Jones lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Pspic looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Micheal Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Petro Pspic.
Pspic shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.

and Pspic holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Pspic shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.

Pspic pushes off an throws an elbow but Jones leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Jones is trying to push Pspic away but Pspic has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Jones stops a takedown attempt from Pspic.

Pspic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pspic shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Jones clinches up with Pspic and pushes him back against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Jones gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pspic regains guard.

Pspic scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pspic is out of range and Jones settles back down.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Pspic pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pspic scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pspic fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.
Pspic dives in for a single leg takedown but Jones sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jones throws a leg kick which misses Pspic's front leg but catches the back leg as Pspic tries to avoid it.
Pspic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jones counters with a left and a right that stings Pspic.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Petro Pspic will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Pspic circles away.
Micheal Jones is winning the standup battle so far.
Jones stuffs the takedown.
A counter left hand to the body from Jones misses its target.
A right-left combo lands from Jones.
Micheal Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Pspic gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Pspic jumps guard and drags Jones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Pspic throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Pspic pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pspic lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Pspic is now in half guard.
Pspic takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Pspic is looking to advance position but Jones won't allow it.

Pspic moves into full mount! Jones won't be happy about that!
Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pspic on the ground.

Jones holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Pspic tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Jones wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Pspic.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pspic looking to secure an arm triangle but Jones defends it well.
Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jones tries to lock up and control but Pspic gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Petro Pspic has got the better of the ground game so far.
Pspic takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pspic takes Jones's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Jones is in trouble.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Petro Pspic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Pspic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Nice sprawl there from Jones as Pspic shoots in.
Pspic shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pspic is defended easily by Jones.

Pspic fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.
Jones has had enough of the clinch but Pspic keeps him there for the moment.

Pspic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jones throws a low kick but Pspic avoids it.
Pspic unleashes a big counter combination but Jones bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Pspic has his takedown stuffed
and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Pspic has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jones instigates a clinch.
Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pspic has him pressed against the cage.
Pspic tries to pull guard but Jones forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Jones fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pspic changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jones fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones.

Pspic has Jones pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pspic pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jones tumbling to the mat - Pspic dives into Jones's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pspic defends it easily.

Pspic pushes down on Jones's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Pspic throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Pspic stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Micheal Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pspic dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Pspic's head and hops out.
Pspic shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A little feinted left hand from Jones on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pspic defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.

Pspic gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Pspic gets control of Jones's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pspic will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Jones postures up and lands a big shot to Pspic's brow.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pspic has his hands on Jones's head, controlling the position.
Petro Pspic is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
