Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Baretta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Corbin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Baretta !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thomas Corbin!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Corbin as Baretta shoots in.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Baretta is trying to push Corbin away but Corbin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Baretta tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Corbin smiles and moves away.
Corbin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Baretta . That's going to take a lot out of him.

Baretta tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Corbin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Corbin closes the distance and clinches up with Baretta , looking for a takedown. Corbin pushes Baretta against the cage but Baretta circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Corbin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Baretta as he avoids it easily.
Corbin throws a sloppy head kick and Baretta moves out of range easily.
Baretta dives in and grabs Corbin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Corbin pushes down on Baretta 's head and hops out.
Baretta keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Corbin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Baretta .
Corbin is trying to counter with his kicks.
Baretta leaves Corbin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Corbin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Baretta 's waist but Baretta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Corbin off to one side.

Corbin throws a half hearted mid kick.
Baretta shoots in but no luck this time.

Baretta was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Corbin dives in for a single leg takedown but Baretta sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Baretta shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Corbin as he jumps to the side.
Corbin lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Corbin shoots for a double leg takedown but Baretta sprawls well. He's pushed Corbin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Corbin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Corbin blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Corbin is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Baretta is defending well.

Corbin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Baretta shoots in looking for a takedown. Corbin tries to sprawl out of it but Baretta keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Corbin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Baretta closes the distance and clinches up with Corbin, looking for a takedown. Baretta pushes Corbin against the cage but Corbin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Corbin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Corbin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Corbin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Baretta defends it easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Corbin can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Corbin dives in and grabs Baretta 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Baretta pushes down on Corbin's head and hops out.

Corbin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Baretta regains guard immediately.

Baretta looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Corbin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Baretta pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mike Baretta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Corbin.
Baretta goes for a double leg but Corbin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Corbin continues to drive forward.
Baretta is trying hard to land a takedown here. Corbin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Corbin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Corbin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Baretta moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Baretta is pressed up against the cage. Corbin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Baretta down to the mat. Baretta avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Baretta counters with a three punch combo that has Corbin backing up. Corbin nods at Baretta to acknowledge the strikes.

Corbin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Corbin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Baretta sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Corbin somewhat.

Corbin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Corbin wants it to stay on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Corbin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Baretta is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Corbin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Corbin shrugs it off.

Baretta unloads with some shots from mount but Corbin bucks and avoids them well.
Baretta avoids the attempt from Corbin to control.
BOOM! Baretta connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Corbin tries to lock up and control but Baretta gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Corbin is looking to get to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Baretta is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Corbin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Baretta will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Baretta jumps guard but Corbin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Corbin gets control of Baretta 's arms and successfully pulls guard. Corbin will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Baretta is fighting to break Corbin's control of his arms but Corbin is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Baretta is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Corbin is trying to hold Baretta in close to prevent damage but Baretta has managed to pass into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Baretta connects with a nice short shot to Corbin's temple.
Corbin is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Corbin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baretta . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Corbin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Baretta pulls his head out easily.
Corbin misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Corbin is looking for a sweep. Baretta is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Baretta is nestled in close to Corbin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Baretta has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Corbin is looking to improve his position.
Corbin wants to control but Baretta is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Corbin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Baretta shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Baretta was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Corbin wants to control but Baretta is having none of it.
Baretta wants to control the pace but Corbin is squirming around nicely.
