Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Akeel Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Akeel Lynch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Murray!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lynch closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Murray quickly recovers to half guard.
Murray is controlling Lynch's trapped leg to prevent Lynch from advancing to side control.
Murray avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lynch.

Murray regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Lynch.
Murray bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lynch's guard.

Lynch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lynch's jab looks to have found its range, popping Murray under the eye.

Lynch takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Lee Murray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lynch is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Murray.

Akeel Lynch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Murray got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lynch has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Murray has managed to get both his arms back between Lynch's legs - danger averted.

Lynch has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Murray can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Murray decides to stand back up. Murray steps back and let's Lynch get back to his feet.

That kick from Murray tenderised Lynch's leg. Lynch is trying to keep his angry face on.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Lynch checks a leg kick.

Murray takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Murray does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Murray avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Lynch fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Murray looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Lynch shoots in for a takedown but Murray shows good takedown defense.
Lynch lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Murray moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Akeel Lynch has been cut.

Lynch lets loose with a powerful body kick. Murray will feel that in the morning.
Murray keeps Lynch at a distance using the push kick.

A close second round but Lee Murray will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's time! Lynch's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Murray takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Lynch dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Murray. That did some damage!
Lynch throws a hook to the side of Murray's head but Murray sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Murray is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lynch rather than just go for the knockout.

Murray fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Murray lands a nice shot that snaps Lynch's head back.
Lynch lands with an uppercut that bounces Murray off the cage and back into range.
Donk. Murray catches Lynch right on the button with a cross.
Lynch misses with a takedown attempt - Murray sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Murray lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lynch's sensitive parts.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Murray walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lynch checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Murray lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lynch at a distance.
Lynch lands a jab to Murray's midsection.

Murray jabs at Lynch's body.
Lynch misses with an uppercut

and Murray counters with a crisp one two that drops Lynch! Murray thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lynch to his feet! Lynch is in big trouble!


Lynch is rocked!
Lynch gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Murray points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Lynch wakes up just in time to hear Murray thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lee Murray!
As Lee Murray got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Was that one of the worlds best fighters I just beat? Wow!'.
