PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Donatas Radyys (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lester Mao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Donatas Radyys!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lester Mao!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Radyys sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Mao dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Radyys. That did some damage!
Mao fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Radyys has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Mao cracks Radyys with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A thudding body kick lands there by Mao!
Radyys takes one on the button.
Mao scores with a nice body kick.
Radyys chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mao can pounce on him.
Both fighters circling a little - Mao finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Mao scores with a hook to the body. Radyys takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Donk. Mao catches Radyys right on the button with a cross.
Good leg kick by Mao there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Mao lands a glancing blow to the side of Radyys's head.
Mao thuds his right hand into Radyys's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lester Mao is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mao lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Radyys takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mao scores with a sloppy right hand. Radyys should have avoided that one.
Decent striking displayed by Mao there.
Mao looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Mao cracks Radyys with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Radyys is rocked!
Mao is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Radyys had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Radyys tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Mao connects with a crisp jab.
Oh Radyys is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jab, jab by Mao - just one landing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mao drops Radyys with a naaaaasty hook - Radyys is in real trouble here! Mao dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
