PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Wiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jyrki Kasvi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wiz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is SouthSide. Wiz has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasvi jabs at Wiz's body.
Wiz is breathing heavily.
Kasvi feints and then cracks Wiz's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wiz down.
Wiz throws a hook to the side of Kasvi's head but Kasvi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kasvi throws a right and a left that Wiz avoids nicely.
Kasvi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wiz manages to avoid it.
Kasvi connects with the punch.
Wiz falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kasvi counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kasvi lands with a hook. Wiz tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kasvi misses with a double jab.
Wiz takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Big Wiz has been cut.

Kasvi has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Kasvi tries to work over Wiz's front leg with a kick but Wiz checks it.
Kasvi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kasvi is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Wiz rather than just go for the knockout.
Wiz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kasvi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wiz walks into a jab.
Wiz has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wiz there as he acknowledges the shot.

Kasvi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Kasvi counters with a low kick, right behind Wiz 's knee.

Kasvi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wiz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kasvi lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Wiz down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wiz tries to improve position but can't.
Kasvi creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Kasvi scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Wiz is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Kasvi can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

A relieved looking Jyrki Kasvi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
