The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reem slips a jab and a cross from Gharibi.
Gharibi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

It looks like Ali Reem has been cut.
Gharibi throws out a loose jab but Reem uses good head movement to avoid it.
Reem seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Reem closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gharibi quickly recovers to half guard.

Reem will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Reem is taking a breather. Gharibi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Reem has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gharibi defend it? Reem steps over the head and cranks it - Gharibi is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Reem!
