Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dann throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McDonald uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dann.
McDonald drops down looking for a counter takedown but Dann sprawls and moves away.
A slow jab from McDonald misses its intended target.
McDonald gets caught napping as Dann dives in and scores a takedown. McDonald manages to retain guard.
Dann trying to control the position from guard on top but McDonald is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

McDonald has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dann can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
McDonald escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dann gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dann gets tackled into the cage by McDonald. McDonald maintains the clinch.
McDonald is trying to pull guard but Dann turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Dann drops down looking for an ankle pick but McDonald pulls his leg out and moves away.

McDonald jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dann walks away with a smile on his face. McDonald gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Dann lands with a hook. McDonald tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Dann closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McDonald to the mat! McDonald manages to get full guard.
McDonald not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dann really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McDonald. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dann working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McDonald's head.

Dann got a little sloppy there for a moment and McDonald has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dann has managed to get both his arms back between McDonald's legs - danger averted.
