Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Bailey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johny Chambers!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bailey thuds a left hand into Chambers's body.

Chambers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Bailey had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chambers defends it easily.
Chambers is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Bailey is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Chambers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Chambers postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chambers lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Bailey working a defensive guard but Chambers manages to pass into side control anyway.
Bailey is looking to regain half guard here but Chambers keeps moving and retains side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chambers misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Chambers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bailey keeps working.
Chambers works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Chambers happy to just control the position for now.
Chambers working away.
Chambers lands a few punches from side control.
Bailey tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Chambers misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Chambers cracks Bailey with a big right hand but Bailey just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Chambers creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bailey sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Bailey looks to move to half guard but instead Chambers has passed into mount! Damn!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Chambers prevents Bailey from getting the reversal.
Chambers controlling from mount.
Chambers looking to finish Bailey with some ground and pound. This is bad for Bailey!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chambers raining down hammerfists from mount.
Chambers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bailey is looking to escape.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Chambers cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

It looks like Alex Bailey has been cut.
Chambers lands a heavy elbow.
Oh Bailey is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chambers unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Bailey wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Chambers celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johny Chambers!
Johny Chambers decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
