The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Money closes the distance and clinches up with Carneiro, looking for a takedown. Money pushes Carneiro against the cage but Carneiro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Carneiro half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Money shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Carneiro kicks Money off and gets back to his feet.
Money fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carneiro to the ground. Money is now in Carneiro's guard.
Carneiro has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Money is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carneiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Money swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Money is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Carneiro's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Carneiro drops back, looking for a kneebar! Money looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Money looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Money!

Money thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That was a close round but I would say that Antero Jose Carneiro will probably get the nod.
