Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahmed Cantu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scotty McNully (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ahmed Cantu is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McNully closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cantu quickly recovers to half guard.
Cantu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McNully is working away from the top position though.
Cantu wants to get back to full guard.
Cantu works his way to full guard. Good work.

McNully thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cantu wants to sweep but no luck.

McNully gets to his feet. Cantu looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
McNully moves in looking to clinch but Cantu pushes him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McNully gets tackled into the cage by Cantu. Cantu maintains the clinch.

Cantu has dropped down and is working for a takedown. McNully is trying to keep an underhook but Cantu manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Cantu is thwarting McNully's attempts to control the position.
Cantu could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cantu is working for a kimura but McNully is defending it quite comfortably.

McNully wants to get back to his feet.
Cantu is thwarting McNully's attempts to control the position.
McNully is looking to improve his position.
McNully is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Cantu tries to stand but can't do so whilst McNully controls his leg.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McNully tries to get to full guard but Cantu has control of the leg.
Cantu takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cantu lands a nice short elbow.
McNully is trying to get back to full guard.
Cantu tries to stand but can't do so whilst McNully controls his leg.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

McNully closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

McNully decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Cantu wants to sweep but no luck.
McNully trying to control the position from guard on top but Cantu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cantu throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Cantu pulls McNully in close to his closed guard and prevents McNully from doing any damage or advancing position.
McNully wants to control from the top but Cantu keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cantu tries to buck McNully off but McNully is having none of it.

McNully wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cantu, who protects the arm well.
McNully wants to control but Cantu is keeping him busy.

I wouldn't like to be where Cantu is right now.
McNully wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cantu keeps working.

Cantu looking for a sweep but McNully has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Cantu tries to hold on but McNully postures up.
Cantu sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

McNully has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cantu defend it? McNully steps over the head and cranks it - Cantu is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for McNully!
