PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emanuel Rodrigez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Emanuel Rodrigez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Spencer Rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Emanuel Rodrigez!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodrigez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rivera is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rodrigez scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rodrigez is keen to just control but Rivera is a slippery customer.

That was a close round but I would say that Spencer Rivera will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Rivera changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rodrigez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Rivera landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Rivera is trying to control the action in half guard but Rodrigez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Rodrigez stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Rivera throws up his legs and catches Rodrigez in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Rodrigez tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Rivera! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Spencer Rivera!
In defeat, Emanuel Rodrigez stepped up to the mic, saying 'PUTA!!!'.
