Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murphy Stanns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by The Animals - House of the Rising Sun. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Murphy Stanns!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanns with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ryan to score with a decent uppercut.
Ryan swings for the body but Stanns moves out of range.
Stanns throws a shot from downtown. Ryan moves away and avoids it.
Ryan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stanns moves away.
Ryan throws the left hand but Stanns avoids the punch easily.
Ryan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stanns moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ryan misses with a straight right.

Stanns moves into the clinch successfully.
We've been informed that Stanns has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Stanns tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ryan prevents a body shot from Stanns.
Stanns misses with the head strike.

Ryan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ryan misses with the combination.
Ryan motions for Stanns to come forward. Ryan throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Stanns uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ryan.
Ryan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Stanns eats them both and turns towards Ryan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ryan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Stanns's calf.
Stanns lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Stanns closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Ryan.
A right handed body shot lands from Ryan.
Ryan lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Stanns backwards.
Ryan lands a body punch.
Ryan leaning against his opponent.
Ryan throws a punch but it's blocked by Stanns.
Stanns works on Ryan's body with a couple of short punches.
Ryan tries to work over Stanns's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Ryan scores with a nice hook to the head.
Ryan blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ryan struggles to land a body shot inside as Stanns controls his hands.

Ryan manages to break the clinch.
Ryan misses with a low kick.
Ryan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Stanns moves in looking to clinch but Ryan pushes him off.
Ryan appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ryan closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Stanns! Ryan dives in looking to finish! Stanns is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
