Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Justin Leks!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Hank Hornsby!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hornsby misses with a wild combination.
Leks misses with a series of wild punches.
Hornsby misses with an uppercut. Leks saw that one coming.
Oooh a lovely combination from Hornsby sends Leks down but not out. Hornsby dives into side control looking to finish.


It looks like Justin Leks has been cut.
You can see the frustration on Leks's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sloppy strikes there by Hornsby.
Leks is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hornsby has knee on belly momentarily but Leks bucks him off and regains half guard.
Leks keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Leks wants to get back to full guard.
Leks on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Hornsby with the ground and pound but Leks uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Hornsby wants to control from the top but Leks keeps moving.
Leks looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hornsby puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Hornsby throws a strike but Leks avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Leks controls Hornsby momentarily but Hornsby frees himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hornsby with a flurry of punches that miss.
Leks pulls Hornsby in close to prevent any damage.
Leks looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hornsby puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Leks controlling the position well.
Hornsby throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Leks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hornsby is working away from the top position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hornsbyis looking to pass into half guard but Leks pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Leks is in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hornsby looking for a sweep. Not yet Hornsby, not yet.
Hornsby has his hands on Leks's head, controlling the position.
Hornsby doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Leks not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hornsby wants to sweep but no luck.
Leks passes Hornsby's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Well, if Leks is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Leks wants to pass the guard but Hornsby is defending well.
Leks is working hard here to advance position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Leks in particular looking to stall.

Hornsby throws a looping overhand right but Leks ducks down to avoid it.
Leks tests Hornsby's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hornsby misses with a takedown attempt - Leks sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Leks throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hornsby.
Hank Hornsby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Hank Hornsby has been cut.

Leks avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Hornsby swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Leks counters with a left hand that sends Hornsby to the canvas!

Hornsby is breathing heavily.
Leks stays in close to Hornsby's body and controls the position.

Leks is really struggling to control Hornsby but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Hornsby wants to get back to full guard but Leks has mounted him!

Leks has control of Hornsby's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hornsby regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hornsby is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Leks's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Leks's back!
Hornsby is throwing shots to the body but Leks manages to wriggle free. Hornsby pounces on him again and ends up in Leks's guard.
Hornsby trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hornsby accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Leks lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hornsby!
Leks sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hornsby catches Leks with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Hornsby takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Leks throws a lazy right hand but Hornsby sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Leks thows a body shot but no joy.
Leks dodges the punch combination from Hornsby.
Leks tries to score with a low kick but Hornsby moves his leg out of the way.
Justin Leks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hornsby misses with a hook.
Hornsby takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hornsby falls off balance throwing a combination
and Leks counters with a thumping low kick.
Hornsby takes one to the chin there.
Leks feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hornsby sprawling to the canvas! Hornsby rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Leks finish him?!
Hornsby is still on wobbly legs! Can Leks finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Leks lands with a right and another and another! Hornsby is in big trouble! Leks lands again and this time it's lights out for Hornsby! A quality knockout there for Leks.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Justin Leks!
