The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Deolore circles away.
Deolore tries to clinch but Benson moves out of range.

Deolore throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Benson's head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Deolore looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Deolore tries to close the distance and clinch but Benson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Benson shoots in for a double leg but Deolore sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Benson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Deolore moves away.
Benson keeps the fight on the outside.
Deolore throws a head kick that half lands.
Deolore tries to clinch but Benson is having none of it.

Benson is looking to break free of the clinch but Deolore has double underhooks.

Benson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Benson manages to end up in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
