The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahmad throws a jab but it's blocked by Joyner.

Ahmad gets caught napping as Joyner dives in and scores a takedown. Ahmad manages to retain guard.
Joyner throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Joyner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Joyner throws a big elbow that misses.
Joyner working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ahmad's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joyner throws a strike but Ahmad rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Ahmad decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Ahmad lands a big shot that drops Joyner! Can he finish him?

It looks like Darius Joyner has been cut.

Ahmad gets to his feet - Joyner follows without any prompting.
Oh Joyner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ahmad connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Joyner out cold! This one is over in a flash!
