Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto Phillips!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Bradley!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bradley is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Phillips.

Bradley shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Phillips is trying to defend but Bradley finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Nice strikes from Bradley there.
Bradley throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bradley lands a nice short elbow.
Phillips wants to get back to full guard.
Phillips slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Phillips wants to stand up but Bradley is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Phillips had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bradley defends it easily.

Phillips is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bradley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Phillips is working away from the top position though.
Bradley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bradley is refusing to be controlled, as Phillips sits in half guard.
Bradley wants to control but Phillips is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Phillips will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Phillips seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bradley is staying active underneath Phillips, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Bradley has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Phillips is on him like a limpet, forcing Bradley back against the cage.

Bradley has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Phillips is trying to keep an underhook but Bradley manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Phillips manages to escape and get back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bradley misses with a combination
and Phillips counters with a three punch combo that has Bradley backing up. Bradley nods at Phillips to acknowledge the strikes.
Bradley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Phillips is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Bradley.
Bradley misses with a jab, cross combination.

Bradley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Phillips uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bradley.
Both fighters circling a little - Bradley finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Bradley tries a head kick but it misses.
Bradley throws a body punch but Phillips moves out of range.
Bradley bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Bradley takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looked like Phillips wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Bradley cracks Phillips with an open hand slap.
Phillips really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bradley attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Joe Bradley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Bradley throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Bradley clinches.

Phillips pulls guard effortlessly.

Phillips had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bradley defends it easily.
Bradley makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Phillips has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Bradley is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Bradley wants to get back to striking at distance but Phillips won't allow it.

Bradley has picked Phillips up - he's going for a ride! Bradley dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Bradley looks winded!
Bradley is pressing down on Phillips's thigh, looking to free his foot. Phillips is holding on for now.
Bradley landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Joe Bradley will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Bradley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Phillips, pushing him back against the cage.
Phillips tries to work over Bradley's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Bradley breaks from the clinch.
Phillips closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Bradley throws a combination that misses

and Phillips holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bradley stalling in the clinch but Phillips improves position.

Bradley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bradley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Phillips paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Phillips counters with a one-two to the body.

Bradley is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Phillips's half guard.
Phillips looks like he's trying to stand up.

Bradley passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Phillips gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Phillips is trying to stand up here but Bradley is controlling him well.
Bradley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Phillips tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Phillips is rocked!

Bradley is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Phillips defends it well.
Oh Phillips is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bradley is breathing heavily.
Bradley lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Phillips quite badly. Phillips pulls Bradley in close trying to recover. Bradley postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Phillips on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Phillips doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Bradley!
Joe Bradley bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
