Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Petr Havlicek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viorel Furnica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Furnica closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Furnica is controlling the pace.
Havlicek trying to hold on to Furnica's head to control him but Furnica postures up.
Furnica looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Havlicek with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Furnica takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Furnica is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Furnica connects with a nice short shot to Havlicek's temple.
Furnica is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Furnica lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Havlicek tries to roll over but Furnica keeps him under control.
Havlicek has a hand on Furnica's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Furnica takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Furnica cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Furnica takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
BOOM! Furnica connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Havlicek is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Furnica looking to secure an arm triangle but Havlicek defends it well.
Furnica pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Furnica controlling from the full mount.
Havlicek has given up his back. Will we see Furnica going for some submissions?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Furnica is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Furnica's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Havlicek tries to break free.

Furnica is looking for a choke. Havlicek gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Havlicek manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Furnica holds on and takes a little breather.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Viorel Furnica dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Furnica shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Havlicek manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Furnica is standing up over Havlicek. Havlicek looks to escape but Furnica dives into side control.

Havlicek takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Havlicek is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Furnica is controlling him well.

Furnica has hold of Havlicek's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Havlicek tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Furnica cranks the arm and Havlicek screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Havlicek, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
