The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocha throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Johnson throws a nice looking combination but Rocha bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Rocha closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Johnson's guard.
Rocha is standing up over Johnson. Johnson looks to escape but Rocha dives into side control.

Johnson is trying to control Rocha's posture but Rocha avoids it.
Johnson is looking to get back to his feet here but Rocha is keeping cool and he's managed to take Johnson's back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson tries to break free.

Rocha is persistently looking for the submission but Johnson is defending it well.
Rocha biding his time, looking for the opening.
I really don't envy Johnson right now.
Johnson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Rocha tightening his grip on Johnson, looking for the choke.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson wants to control his opponent's hands but Rocha gets his hands free.

Rocha is working for a rear naked choke. Johnson is not defending it well and Rocha has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Johnson refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Johnson's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
