The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landreth drives through and clinches with Barrera against the cage.
Barrera takes a shot to the head.
Landreth misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Landreth lands on the inside with an uppercut.
It looks like Alden Barrera has been cut.
Landreth gets underhooks to prevent Barrera's takedown attempt.
Barrera wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Landreth has him pressed against the cage.

Barrera jumps guard but Landreth stands there with Barrera around his waist. Barrera gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Landreth swings wildly with an uppercut but Barrera uses good head movement to avoid it.
Barrera seems to have got his legs back now.
Barrera drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Landreth wants to stand and escape but instead Barrera has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Barrera thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Landreth is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Barrera stops Landreth from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Barrera drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barrera jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Landreth wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Barrera manages to pass to side control.
Landreth is trying to stand.
Landreth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barrera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Landreth keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Landreth wants to get back to full guard.

Barrera seems to be working for a kimura but Landreth defends the submission attempt.
Landreth tries to get to full guard but Barrera has control of the leg.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Landreth gets a clinch.
Barrera tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Landreth smiles and moves away.

Still in the clinch, Landreth scores with a nice short uppercut.
Landreth creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Barrera's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Barrera drops to his knees and Landreth pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
