The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanna slips under a jab from Samm.
Vanna tries to clinch there but Samm circles away.
Samm's corner calls for a 1-2. Samm obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Vanna shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Samm pinned against the cage. Samm gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Vanna tries to clinch up but Samm circles away and keeps his distance.
Vanna moves out of range of the strikes.
Vanna fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vanna closes the distance and clinches up with Samm, looking for a takedown. Vanna pushes Samm against the cage but Samm circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Samm rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vanna moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Samm throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vanna sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Samm misses with a hook. Vanna ducked under it nicely.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Samm.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Vanna wants to take a breather but Samm is having none of it.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Samm smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Samm shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Vanna eats them both and turns towards Samm to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Lucifer Samm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
