The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morte connects with a jab.

Scotch Tape wants to sweep but no luck.

Scotch Tape looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Scotch Tape looking for a guillotine here but Morte defends easily.

Scotch Tape working for a triangle but Morte defends it easily.
Morte working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Scotch Tape's head.
Morte throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Scotch Tape works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morte drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Morte jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Morte wanted to stand there but Scotch Tape had control of the position.

Morte drops back looking for a leg! Scotch Tape is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Scotch Tape manages to kick Morte off! Morte jumps back into Scotch Tape's guard.

Scotch Tape has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Morte should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Scotch Tape has tightened it up now! Morte should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
