Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between DAN SIMOES (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ulrich stern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DAN SIMOES has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SIMOES slips a jab and a cross from stern.

stern shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

SIMOES tries to hold on but stern pushes him away.
stern wants to control the pace but SIMOES is squirming around nicely.
stern takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

stern jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but SIMOES manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
SIMOES shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has stern pinned against the cage. stern gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

SIMOES drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and SIMOES jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

SIMOES had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. stern is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. SIMOES Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take stern's back instead.

SIMOES drops back, looking for a kneebar! stern looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. stern looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from stern!

stern can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as SIMOES is looking to escape.

That was a close second round but I would say that DAN SIMOES will probably get the nod.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
stern shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with SIMOES but SIMOES pushes him off and we're back to square one.
