The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lofmark lands a nice looking body shot.
Lofmark takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Lofmark tries to break free but Tropical pushes him back against the cage.

Tropical is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tropical got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lofmark has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tropical has managed to get both his arms back between Lofmark's legs - danger averted.

Lofmark escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tropical gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lofmark had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tropical defends it easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Lofmark takes a swing at Tropical's ribcage but misses.
Lofmark throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tropical.
Tropical looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Lofmark definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

It looked like Lofmark was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Tropical.

Tropical punishes Lofmark's body with a nice straight punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lofmark went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Tropical digs a good body shot into Lofmark's ribs.
Pollo Tropical seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lofmark fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tropical manages to avoid it.
Tropical throws a push kick but Lofmark slaps the foot to one side.
Lofmark lands with a nice body punch.
Lofmark is looking to wear down Tropical with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Lofmark throws a lazy right hand but Tropical sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tropical enables Lofmark to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tropical manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tropical can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lofmark stands up over Tropical, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lofmark drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Lofmark shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tropical's guard.

Tropical is looking for a triangle but Lofmark pushes his legs off easily.

Lofmark stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tropical swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tropical seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Lofmark lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Tropical quite badly. Tropical pulls Lofmark in close trying to recover. Lofmark postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Tropical on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Tropical doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
