The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Perkins swings for the body but York moves out of range.
York half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Perkins takes a swing at York's ribcage but misses.
York avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Perkins comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

York doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

York is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Perkins can do anything to dispel that myth.

Perkins manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. York keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
York is trying to pull guard but Perkins turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

York jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Perkins walks away with a smile on his face. York gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Oh York is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Perkins pounces like a tiger and cracks York with a vicious hook! York is down but not out! Perkins follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
