Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Kingsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutus Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kingsley comes into the arena with Alpenglow (instrumental) - Nightwish blaring out of the sound system. Kowalski has chosen Pantera - Fucking Hostile as his entrance music. Brutus Kowalski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Kingsley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brutus Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingsley catches Kowalski with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kowalski digs a good body shot into Kingsley's ribs.

Kingsley definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

No joy there for Kingsley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kingsley fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kowalski on the side of the head.
Kingsley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kowalski was well out of range. Poor timing from Kingsley.

and Kowalski connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kingsley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Brutus Kowalski will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nice uppercut lands for Kowalski. That snapped Kingsley's head back.
Brutus Kowalski seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kingsley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kowalski avoids it really well and circles away.
Kowalski let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Kingsley throws a wild body kick that Kowalski sees coming a mile off.
Kingsley misses the shot to the body.
Kingsley jabs Kowalski right on the nose. Kowalski blinks but takes it well.

Kingsley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kowalski tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kingsley is in Kowalski's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Kingsley looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kowalski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.


It looks like Brutus Kowalski has been cut.
