And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amir Aklaban!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aklaban decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Aklaban takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Aklaban working the head and body with strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson looking for submissions off his back.
Aklaban working over Jackson with some ground and pound. Jackson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Aklaban is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Aklaban looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aklaban has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Aklaban lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Jackson is breathing heavily.

Aklaban is trying to work for a kimura but Jackson is defending well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Aklaban connects with a nice short shot to Jackson's temple.
Aklaban winds up and cracks Jackson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Aklaban is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Aklaban is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jackson sees it coming and defends easily.
Aklaban slips a nice elbow through Jackson's hands, connecting with Jackson's forehead.
Oh Jackson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jackson has hold of Aklaban's hands but Aklaban slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Aklaban lands a big elbow - Jackson is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Aklaban!
