Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Professor Jaxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jaxx circles away quickly and effectively.

Griffin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Jaxx lands with a left to the head.

Griffin looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Griffin stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Griffin creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jaxx's defenses.
Jaxx lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Griffin has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Jaxx seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Griffin can turn it around.

Professor Jaxx's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Jaxx swings wildly with an uppercut but Griffin uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jaxx digs a right hand underneath Griffin's ribcage. Griffin let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Griffin tries to throw a body punch but Jaxx avoids it by throwing Griffin back against the cage.
Jaxx takes an elbow to the temple.

Jeez, Professor Jaxx's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Professor Jaxx's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
