The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strife throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Deluxe has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Deluxe fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Strife throws a body shot but no joy.
Deluxe ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Strife catches Deluxe with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Strife keeps the fight on the outside.
Strife was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Deluxe lands with a hook. Strife tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Deluxe throws a body shot but no joy.
Strife throws a looping overhand right but Deluxe ducks down to avoid it.
Deluxe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Deluxe cracks Strife with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Deluxe blocks a jab.
Deluxe throws a hook but Strife blocks it.

and Strife counters with a straight right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Strife swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Deluxe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Strife swats away the attempt to clinch by Deluxe.
A combination from Deluxe does no damage.
Cloud Strife is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Strife throws a big shot that misses.
Deluxe misses with a combination
and Strife counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Deluxe throws an off balance right hand

and Strife counters with a nice right hand that sends Deluxe toppling to the canvas! Deluxe scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Strife finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Strife looks to land a right hand but Deluxe moved out of range.

Deluxe closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Strife lands a right hand.

A right hook to the body lands for Strife.

Deluxe breaks from the clinch.
Strife works Deluxe's body with a nice hook.

Strife cracks Deluxe with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Strife has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Deluxe to stand back up!

Deluxe is rocked!
Strife shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Deluxe takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Strife sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Deluxe bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cloud Strife!
