The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Linic keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mies.
Linic slips under a jab.
Mies missing with a left hand there. Linic was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mies throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Linic looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A telegraphed right hand from Mies misses the target.
Mies misses with a body shot.
Mies throws a hook to the side of Linic's head but Linic sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Linic counters with a single leg into guard. Mies didn't expect that.
Linic works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Linic frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Mies tries to lock up and control but Linic gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mies is trying to escape the mount but Linic keeps good control and instead manages to take Mies's back.
A lull in the action here.

Linic looking for the choke but no joy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mies showing good submission defense here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Linic connects with a big shot to the side of Mies's head.
Linic is looking to control Mies but Mies is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Mies won't enjoy being in this position. Linic looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Mies is tapping - it's over boys! Linic picks up the submission victory!
