Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amber Hodges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Markson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hodges has Markson up against the cage in a clinch.
Hodges stops a takedown attempt from Markson.
Hodges lands a nice knee to the body.
Markson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Hodges lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Hodges gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Markson regains guard.

Markson has an active guard here but Hodges has managed to pass into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Markson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hodges manages to get himself to full guard.
Hodges throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Hodges will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Markson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hodges looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hodges looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hodges!
