Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patricia Preston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heimdall Ragnarson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ragnarson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Preston's face as Ragnarson controls the position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ragnarson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Preston is looking for a sweep.

Ragnarson is taking a breather. Preston says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ragnarson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

And Ragnarson tries to counter it with a takedown but Preston pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Ragnarson plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Preston to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Preston just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
