Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Martell misses.
Martell is looking to land body kicks.
Blanchard feinted with a counter takedown.
Blanchard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Blanchard really is a fat lump.
Martell throws a head kick that misses
and Blanchard counters with a body kick that stops Martell in his tracks momentarily.
Martell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Blanchard on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Martell throws out a loose jab but Blanchard uses good head movement to avoid it.
Martell throws a chopping leg kick but Blanchard manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blanchard drops his hands momentarily and Martell takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Martell throws a head kick that misses.
Martell pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Martell lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Martell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blanchard.
Martell throws a right and a left that both miss.
Blanchard takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Blanchard fails in his attempt to clinch.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Martell lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Blanchard has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Blanchard and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Blanchard swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Oberyn Martell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martell lands with a straight right. Blanchard didn't see that one coming.
Martell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Martell tries to land a leg kick but Blanchard saw it coming and moves away.
Martell throws a shot from downtown. Blanchard moves away and avoids it.

Martell cracks Blanchard with a good jab.

and Blanchard counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Blanchard thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Blanchard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Blanchard throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Blanchard escapes and gets back to his feet.
Martell thows a left - swing and a miss!
Blanchard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Martell is fending him off so far but Blanchard persists. Nope, Martell circles away and we're back to standing.

Martell throws a front kick that sends Blanchard stumbling back into the cage.

Martell lands a nice looking body shot.
Martell misses with a jab, cross combination.
Blanchard looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Oberyn Martell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A left and a right from Martell both land. Nice combination.
Blanchard tries to clinch up.
Martell with the counter takedown but Blanchard avoids it easily.
Martell takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Blanchard thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Martell if he has to take too many more of those.
Blanchard moves into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Martell's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Blanchard is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blanchard is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Martell rolls with it to try and escape but Blanchard cranks on the arm and Martell is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
