Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Josh Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kasper Saunders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turner comes to the cage accompanied by Next Episode by Dr. Dre. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kasper Saunders !
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Chris Dean and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner slips under a jab from Saunders .
Saunders throws a nice looking combination but Turner bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Turner connects with a crisp jab.
Turner ducks under a wild hook from Saunders .
Saunders drops his hands momentarily and Turner takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A left lands for Saunders .
A slow jab from Saunders misses its intended target.
Saunders misses with a low kick as Turner jumps back.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Saunders has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Turner moves forwards but Saunders connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Saunders dips to his left and cracks Turner with an uppercut!

Saunders swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Turner, as that shot connected.
Turner needs to keep his hands up - Saunders had a free shot at his head there.
Turner takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Turner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Saunders lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Turner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Saunders .
Turner misses with a series of wild punches.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Saunders ! But no joy.
Kasper Saunders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turner is trying hard to land a takedown here. Saunders sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Turner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Turner tries to counter with a takedown but Saunders is quick to defend against it.
Turner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Saunders sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Turner somewhat.

Saunders breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Good exchange - Saunders coming out on top.

Saunders fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Turner looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Saunders connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Turner momentarily.
Saunders throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Turner is looking to clinch.

and Saunders counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Saunders misses with a body shot.
Saunders ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Turner takes a jab right on the kisser.
Saunders scores with a decent looking hook.
Saunders misses with a leg kick.
Saunders moves out of range of the strikes.
Saunders connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Turner momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Saunders lands with a cross.

Saunders moves in looking to clinch but Turner pushes him off.
Nice body punch from Saunders .
Saunders throws a looping overhand right but Turner ducks down to avoid it.
Turner half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Saunders . Those never looked like landing.
Turner works over Saunders 's head and body with a nice combination.
Saunders with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Turner to score with a decent uppercut.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Turner tries to clinch but Saunders is having none of it.
Turner takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Saunders pivots, looking for a leg kick but Turner is out of range and Saunders settles back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Saunders has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Saunders there as he acknowledges the shot.
Turner with a poor takedown
and Saunders cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Saunders uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Turner bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Saunders stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Turner is rocked!
Turner shoots in for a double leg but Saunders sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Saunders tries to clinch but Turner moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Saunders darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Oh Turner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Saunders has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Saunders fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Turner manages to avoid it.
Turner seems to have got his legs back now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
