And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov misses the body punch

and Rios counters with a shoot takedown. Magomedov fights it but they end up in guard.
Rios stops Magomedov from standing up.
Rios postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Magomedov wants to get back to his feet but Rios is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Magomedov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rios controls from within his opponent's guard.
Magomedov wants to stand up but Rios is controlling him.
Rios is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Magomedov is looking to stand up but Rios isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Nice defenses there by Rios.
It looked like Rios was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Rios clinches.

Magomedov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Some wild striking there from Magomedov.
Rios throws a big counter combination but Magomedov scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Magomedov scores with a jab. Rios acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Magomedov lands a body shot.
Rios ducks under a wild hook from Magomedov.
Rios takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A jab from Magomedov misses.
A counter left hand to the body from Rios misses its target.
Magomedov swats away the attempt to clinch by Rios.
Rios looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Magomedov is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Rios like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Rios from another fist facial!

Rashid Magomedov decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
