And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scotty McNully!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNully misses with a takedown attempt - Conway sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Conway misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McNully is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
McNully is looking to clinch but Conway is avoiding it.
Conway swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Conway lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Scotty McNully has been cut.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Conway misses with the head strike.

McNully drops back, looking for a kneebar! Conway looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Conway looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Conway!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McNully is trying to control Conway's posture but Conway avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Conway is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McNully has escaped the position, nice work there.

Conway goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McNully rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Conway's guard! Nice work there by McNully!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

McNully on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
A head punch on the inside from Conway fails to land.

Conway is trying to trip McNully. He has hold of a leg but McNully is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Conway persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

McNully has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Conway off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Conway with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Johnathan Conway overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

McNully is looking for a triangle but Conway pushes his legs off easily.
McNully wants to stand and escape but Conway is having none of it.

McNully working for submissions but it's allowed Conway to get to half guard.

Conway is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
