Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monkey Business (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Browne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Browne is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Knock You Out. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Travis Browne!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Business shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Browne but Browne pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Business lands a nice hook to Browne's body. Browne takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Business has been working on his balance at , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Browne.
Business gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Browne counter with a right hand.
Business ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Horrible takedown attempt by Business or perhaps it was just good defense by Browne, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Monkey Business. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Business connects with a good right hand that stumbles Browne. Browne circles away out of range and recomposes himself.


It looks like Travis Browne has been cut.
Business shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Browne sprawls well. Browne wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Business gets slowly back to his feet.

Business shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Business showed some decent athleticism there.
Business stops Browne from getting back to his feet.
Business moves nicely into side control.
Browne is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Business has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Business is trying to get an arm triangle but Browne is defending well.
Business wants to take a breather but Browne manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Business.

Business drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Browne dives on top into guard.


Business is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Business not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Browne wanted to stand there but Business had control of the position.
Browne told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Business is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Browne gets to his feet. Business looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Business changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Browne tries to avoid it but Business manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Browne to the ground. Browne escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Browne defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Business.
Browne swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Business looks for a takedown but Browne sprawls well.
Business punishes Browne's body with a nice straight punch.
Business shoots and misses
and Browne counters with a stiff right hand.

Business takes the fight into the clinch.
Business has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Browne avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Browne breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Business shoots in but no luck this time.
Business will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Browne stuffs the takedown.

Business closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Browne to the mat! Browne manages to get full guard.
Business is breathing heavily.
Business stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Browne swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Browne wants to get back to his feet but Business is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Browne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Business. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Browne has his feet on Business's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Business dives in and grabs Browne's left leg, looking for a takedown. Browne pushes down on Business's head and hops out.
Browne swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A big left from Browne misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Travis Browne dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Travis Browne's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Browne takes one to the chin there.
Browne throws a shot from downtown. Business moves away and avoids it.
Browne just misses with a punch to the body.
Browne lands an overhand right.


It looks like Monkey Business has been cut.
Business with a poor takedown
and Browne counters with a stiff right hand.
Business bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Business shoots and misses
and Browne counters with a nice uppercut.
Browne misses with a straight left.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Business.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Monkey Business. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Business drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Business as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Browne screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Business! Nice submission victory there!
