The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Barbosa moves away from the strike by Ray.
A countering left hand to the body from Barbosa misses.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Ray - that will leave a mark!
Barbosa throws a shot from downtown. Ray moves away and avoids it.
Ray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barbosa tries to avoid it but Ray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barbosa to the ground. Barbosa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Barbosa ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Despite the aggression on Barbosa's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Ray walks into a stiff left hand from Barbosa.
Barbosa lands with a right hand.
It looks like Jake Ray has been cut.
Jake Ray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barbosa throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ray sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ray attempts a counter takedown but Barbosa avoids it well and moves away.
Ray lands with a nice body kick.
Ray takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ray misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Barbosa throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ray.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Barbosa! But no joy.

It looks like Daniel Barbosa has been cut.

We've been hearing that Ray has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ray wants to control from the top but Barbosa keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Ray dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Barbosa. That did some damage!
Barbosa has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Barbosa needs to keep his hands up - Ray had a free shot at his head there.
Barbosa slips a straight right by Ray.
Ray staying out of range there.
Ray fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Barbosa checks it well.
Ray ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ray misses with a combination
letting Barbosa counter with a right hand.
Barbosa lands with an uppercut that bounces Ray off the cage and back into range.
Ray looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Barbosa is fending him off so far but Ray persists. Nope, Barbosa circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Barbosa dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ray misses with a takedown
and Barbosa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Oh Ray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barbosa finds Ray's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Ray flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Barbosa lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Ray will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Daniel Barbosa!
Jake Ray was interviewed post fight and said 'Full credit to my opponent for bringing his A-game. Much respect. I got to work on things and I will get back in the gym to work my tail off and improve. '.
