Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Augusto Azevedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baeddan MacAuliffe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Azevedo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Welcome To The Jungle. MacAuliffe has chosen Notorious by Duran Duran as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacAuliffe lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Augusto Azevedo has been cut.
Left hook, right uppercut from MacAuliffe.
MacAuliffe fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Baeddan MacAuliffe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for MacAuliffe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Azevedo avoids a kick to the body.
MacAuliffe has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Azevedo closes the distance and clinches up with MacAuliffe, looking for a takedown. Azevedo pushes MacAuliffe against the cage but MacAuliffe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Azevedo tries to clinch up.
Despite the aggression on MacAuliffe's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
MacAuliffe will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from MacAuliffe - that will leave a mark!
MacAuliffe misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
MacAuliffe scores with a hook.
Azevedo fails with a takedown attempt.
MacAuliffe changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
MacAuliffe scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

and MacAuliffe holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Augusto Azevedo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Azevedo tries to pull guard but MacAuliffe holds him up against the cage and eventually Azevedo drops back down to his feet.
MacAuliffe manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Azevedo jumps guard but MacAuliffe stands there with Azevedo around his waist. Azevedo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
MacAuliffe lands with a right to the head.
Azevedo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. MacAuliffe just stands there and leans against the cage.

MacAuliffe manages to break the clinch.
MacAuliffe lands with an uppercut that bounces Azevedo off the cage and back into range.
Azevedo dives in and grabs MacAuliffe's left leg, looking for a takedown. MacAuliffe pushes down on Azevedo's head and hops out.
A combination from MacAuliffe does no damage.
Azevedo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
MacAuliffe lands a slapping body shot.
MacAuliffe fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Azevedo dives in for a single leg takedown but MacAuliffe sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
MacAuliffe bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Azevedo's head backwards.
Azevedo tries for a takedown but MacAuliffe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
MacAuliffe throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Azevedo crashing down! Azevedo tries to stagger back to his feet but MacAuliffe just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Azevedo asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Baeddan MacAuliffe!
