Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shina Aoyki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Guarino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trey Guarino struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Shina Aoyki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoyki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Guarino throws a body punch but Aoyki moves out of range.
Aoyki throws an overhand right that lands on Guarino's shoulder, as Guarino tries to avoid the shot.
Guarino tries for a takedown but Aoyki sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Shina Aoyki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aoyki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Guarino sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Aoyki wants to control but Guarino is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guarino moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Guarino looking to hit a scissor sweep but Aoyki is one step ahead there.

Guarino has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aoyki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Aoyki stands and throws Guarino's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Aoyki drops an elbow to the side of Guarino's head.
Aoyki uses his free foot to push down on Guarino's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Guarino.

Aoyki is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Guarino is trying to escape and Aoyki transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Guarino is forced to tap! Nice work there by Aoyki! Very nice indeed!
