The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torje smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

It looks like Anthony Sylva has been cut.

Torje gets a clinch.
Sylva throws a punch but it's blocked by Torje.
Torje lands a damaging elbow.
Sylva drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Torje gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Sylva tries to pull guard but Torje won't allow it.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Torje.
Sylva tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Sylva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Torje pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Gabriel Torje has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Sylva.

Torje gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Sylva is looking to control Torje's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sylva avoid being mounted?

Sylva is looking for a sweep. Torje is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Torje passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Sylva!
Torje landing strikes from the mount and Sylva is in trouble!
The referee warns Sylva that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Sylva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Sylva slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Sylva is looking for a sweep. Torje is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Torje has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sylva is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Torje jumps into side control!

Torje working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Sylva is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Torje is posturing up here but Sylva has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Torje tries to roll out but it's too tight and Torje has to tap! Slick submission there by Sylva!
