And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takumi Mayama!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayama stuffs the takedown attempt from Stewart. Stewart gets slowly back to his feet.
Stewart plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Takumi Mayama has been cut.
Stewart buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Stewart throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Mayama throws a hook but Stewart avoids it easily.
Mayama tries to bum rush Stewart with a series of wild strikes but Stewart uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mayama throws a right and a left that Stewart avoids nicely.
Stewart lands with a kick to the ribs.
Stewart ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mayama moves away.
Stewart lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mayama avoids the body shot from Stewart.
A left and a right from Mayama both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Jebediah Stewart has been cut.
No joy there for Mayama, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stewart swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Stewart.
Stewart ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Mayama looks gassed!
A punch combination from Mayama misses.
Stewart closes the distance and clinches up with Mayama, looking for a takedown. Stewart pushes Mayama against the cage but Mayama circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Stewart misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mayama throws a series of punches but Stewart avoids them all with ease.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mayama crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Stewart - the referee stops the clock and Mayama gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Stewart. Mayama manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Stewart shoots for a takedown but Mayama saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jebediah Stewart. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stewart tries a head kick but it misses.

Stewart thumps Mayama with a low kick.
Stewart scores with a leg kick.
Stewart scoring well with a low kick there.
Stewart throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Good leg kick by Stewart there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stewart lands a high kick!

Mayama is rocked!
Whack! Stewart lands a heavy head kick that drops Mayama. The ref tackles Stewart to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Mayama was done.
