The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jester closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Asahara quickly recovers to half guard.
Asahara is trying is best to control the position here.
Jester is keen to just control but Asahara is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jester seems to be working for a kimura but Asahara defends the submission attempt.
