The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arango darts in and clinches Aigaios up against the cage.

Doroteo Arango seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Arango's coach down at Kalashnikov MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Arango's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Aigaios connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Arango throws an overhand right that lands on Aigaios's shoulder, as Aigaios tries to avoid the shot.

Aigaios dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Aigaios works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

It looked like Aigaios wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Aigaios counters with a huge left! Arango is in big trouble! He's backing up but Aigaios isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Arango from any more damage. A dominating finish by Aigaios!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kyros Aigaios!
As Kyros Aigaios got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I aint losing to a shmuck named Dorothy. I promised myself I'd kick this guys's ass or else I'd retire from the sport, go back to Wallace, Idaho, forget about about fighting, and fullfil my dream of being a pastry chef. '.
