The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vargas has MIles up against the cage in a clinch.

Vargas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Vargas keeping moving, preventing MIles from controlling successfully.
MIles lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
MIles lands a couple of decent looking shots.
MIles has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vargas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Vargas wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of MIles's closed guard. He's half up but MIles has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! MIles pivots and extends the arm, Vargas falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by MIles! Well done that man!
